Adobe's brilliant new Voice app is designed to help you answer that question. Though it may not please pros, it's a perfect video storytelling tool for the average user. @tomng Hey Tom, this is awesome! I saw you talk at the Lean Startup about Adobe Voice and the story behind it. I basically got an iPad for this one app alone. So stoked to see it on iPhone.
Yesterday digital media solutions company Adobe released Adobe Voice, a self-contained story telling production app for the iPad. Similar to PowerPoint and Keynote, Adobe Voice allows users to create a voice narrated slideshow on the iPad.
The app includes a collection of over 25,000 searchable stock icons and photos, plus thematic layouts with background music. In addition, users can choose from a wide assortment of fonts and colors, as well as import their own photos and graphics.
Project slides appear in a timeline, with automatic motion effects, where they can be duplicated and rearranged, and their individual duration can be changed. While the entire presentation can be produced in Adobe Voice, voice narratives should probably be written first and read one or two lines at a time for each slide, by holding down the record button in the app.
The app’s homepage includes a collection of sample projects, and new projects can be based on one of over a dozen projects ideas for business or instructional presentations, greetings, personal stories, story tales, or school related projects. Users can also choose one of several types of story structures, such as Show and Tell, Share a Growth Moment, Teach a Lesson, Share an Invitation, Promote an Idea, or Follow a Hero’s Journey.
Users can share private links to their projects, or projects can be shared in the Adobe Voice gallery, as well as to social networks, and links via email and text message. Production credits for productions can also customized.
Adobe Voice for the iPad is a free download, and requires iOS 7.0 or later.

ipad? what about other platforms.
Adobe first launched its creative Voice app for iPad almost two years ago, and this week version 2.0 has been released with full iPhone support for the first time. I took Adobe Voice for a test drive when it was brand new back in 2014. The app lets you easily combine photos, videos, text, voiceovers, and more to a project that you can easily share to spread your message. Stories can be shared either publicly or privately over Facebook, Twitter, email, messaging, the web, and more.
While the iPad is a great canvas for creating storytelling projects, Adobe Voice 2.0 puts the app in your pocket (and iPhones have since gotten bigger!) so it’s worth checking out if you haven’t tried Voice yet. Adobe also notes that Voice allows you to sync projects using your Adobe account, which lets you create projects on one device and finish them on another.
If you are not yet familiar with this app, Adobe Voice puts Adobe’s 30 years of animation and cinematography experience “under the hood,” allowing anyone, regardless of experience, to create compelling videos and share them instantly with the world. To get started, simply download Adobe Voice for iPhone from the App Store. If you already have the app on your iPad, all your projects will automatically sync so you can work on your videos whenever inspiration strikes.
